Statement of Community Involvement
The Northumberland National Park Authority adopted its Statement of Community Involvement on 15th September 2010.
What does the document do?
The Statement of Community Involvement outlines how the National Park Authority will involve local communities and other stakeholders in developing policy documents which have an impact on the National Park and in making decisions on planning applications.
The Northumberland National Park Authority adopted its first Statement of Community Involvement in 2006, since then new techniques to consultation have been adopted, the Authority has also expanded the document to include all policy documents which affect the National Park, not just planning policy documents, the revised document reflects these changes.

The comments received during the 8th February – 22nd March 2006 public consultation period were submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for consideration. The comments are available to download using the link below.
